Our Standards & Practices

We perform all Pruning "Standards & Practices" in accordance with the International Society of Arboriculture, The American National Standards Institute and National Arborist Association.

TREE MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

  • No more than 1/3 of the foliage shall be removed at any time
  • All cuts shall be made to the branch collar and beyond the branch bark ridge
  • All cuts will be made in the manner to favor the earliest possible covering of the wound with callous tissue
  • All dead, dying and diseased limbs shall be removed as well as stubs longer than 1/2"
  • All specified clearances shall be met over street, sidewalk, public property,  fences, signs, lights and structures
  • Tools shall be sterilized when pruning infected trees
  • Climbing spurs shall only be used on removals
  • Stumps shall be ground to a depth of 12" considering soil condition and accessibility
  • Surface roots shall be ground to a depth of 6"
  • All debris will be removed from the worksite daily
  • All employees will be dressed and equipped to industry standards
  • Daily inspections will be performed on all trees for hazards, disease and proper pruning techniques
  • Worksites will be properly delineated and signed in accordance with N.D.O.T.
  • All crews will be supervised by a Professional Arborist to ensure quality and safety
